CHALLENGE GUIDE · VERIFIED OCT 15, 2026
Turn each region-and-type roll into one legal starter without leaving a fatal weakness.

REGION ∩ TYPE
If a round displays Kanto and Electric, only Pokémon that satisfy both labels are eligible. Jolteon is one example. A Johto Electric Pokémon or a Kanto Water Pokémon does not satisfy that round.
All mode can roll Kanto through Paldea. Retro uses only Kanto through Sinnoh. The helper below applies both filters together and disables later regions when Retro is selected.
The order matters because formations and rerolls are run-wide decisions, while each Pokémon fills exactly one open job.
Choose All or Retro, 3–4 or 4–3 defense, and Fullback or Slot offense before the run. The formation stays locked.
A round gives one region and one type. The eligible pool is their intersection, not either list by itself.
Compare every eligible Pokémon with positions that are still empty. Do not spend a natural lineman on a replaceable skill slot.
Choose a matching Pokémon and lock it into one open position. Repeat until all 22 offense and defense spots are filled.
The run has one region reroll and one type reroll. It also caps Legendary and Mythical Pokémon together at three.
The finished team receives the original game’s private-formula Team Score and plays a simulated 17-game season.
DRAFT CAPITAL
Priority is not permission to accept a weak starter elsewhere. The creator says the four worst fits drag the entire Team Score down harder than one star raises it.
Read every position priority →QB is the most important single position in the creator’s public scoring explanation. Special Attack is key; HP, Sp. Def and Speed help.
The five offensive linemen together count for more than the quarterback. Defense and Weight are key, with HP helping.
Defensive ends are among the defense’s most important jobs. Attack and Speed are both key, so pure bulk is not enough.
Corners also carry high defensive importance. Speed is key, while Defense and Sp. Def help one-on-one coverage.
Suppose a Kanto/Electric round arrives after both receiver spots and both safeties are filled. Jolteon may have an obvious Speed profile, but spending the pick on a duplicate job is impossible. Compare the remaining legal candidates with the actual open positions.
Magnemite’s Steel type receives a small OL nudge, but its listed base weight is only 6 kg and HP is low. That makes it an imperfect guard rather than a secretly excellent one. If RG is the last reasonable use and a run-wide reroll remains, this is the kind of weak-board situation where changing one side of the roll deserves consideration. The advice is qualitative because the exact rating formula is private.
The examples use PokéAPI facts and the published position categories. They do not predict a private score.
130 Speed matches the key trait for both jobs. Electric is also a listed type nudge. If those roles are filled, reassess rather than forcing it onto the line.
160 HP and 460 kg are valuable line ingredients. Its 65 Defense means the decision is not “heaviest automatically wins”; compare the exact open OL or NT job.
134 Attack, 100 HP, useful weight and a listed Dark nudge support DE. Its 61 Speed is the visible tradeoff, so a faster eligible edge may still be preferable.
Select All or Retro, enter the rolled region and type, mark every filled slot, and compare only the eligible candidates. This companion suggestion does not consume a reroll or submit a pick to the original game.
